Hello and welcome all past Campus Recreation staff, Sport Club Officers and Intramural Captains!

We have intended to get this alumni newsletter together and launched for quite some time. Congrats to Anne Wilkinson and her staff for pulling it off. It is difficult to move new initiatives forward as the day-to-day is so full with volume and "to do" lists that would impress most anyone.

For many of you that may not have been back or stayed connected, we (Campus Recreation—formerly Recreation Services) are now quite a large operation and almost unrecognizable to folks from the last two decades. There are still 8 major program components, but now with SEVEN facilities, over 200,000 square-feet of dedicated space, 35 Sport Clubs, 17 full-time staff, 3 Graduate Externs, over 12 permanent or on-call Part-Time staff, and the most valuable number, 235+ student staff that deliver our services to the Temple campus community. We have opened up 3 new facilities in just the past 5 years and the annual participation number surpassed ONE MILLION back in 2010-2011. We are HUGE! And ya'll were part of the foundation that has enabled us to continue such growth.

We hope to provide everyone with news and updates three times a year, and really would like to hear from you: what you're doing, what you've done and how things are with you out in that real world. Or come visit—warning: a full CREC tour now takes over an hour at minimum, but you cannot leave without some type of CREC swag. I do hope folks are well, and I do thank you immensely for all you have contributed to the department. It's an amazing place: Temple, North Philly and our west-side of scenic North Broad Street.
